john mccain tuesday about immigration reform. he made the announcement after meeting the mexican president. the senator is one of eight working on a bill. he said there are still areas of significant disagreement with the presidents but he is optimistic legislation can be passed that will include a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants. >>> the obama administration is also asking the court to declare the defense of marriage act unconstitutional. in a brief the government argues that the law denies federal benefits to tens of thousands of same sex couples who are legally married under state law. the brief didn't address proposition 8, california's ban on gay marriage. the court is scheduled to hear the defense of marriage case next month. >> the governor is in washington dc this weekend for the meeting of national governors. putting in federal health care reform is one of the top issues. brown is also on the natural resources committee which will meet tomorrow to talk about extreme weather events in the united states. then on monday the governors plan to meet with the presid
